Contains a typescript letter from dramatist and theatre producer Lennox Robinson to actress Máire Nic Shiubhlaigh asking her help with his writing of an offical history of the Abbey Theatre. Attached is a manuscirpt draft of Nic Shiubhlaigh's reply, outlining her recollections of the early days of the Abbey Theatre and the theatre movement in Dublin, including her initial dealings with Maud Gonne and William Fay through Inghinidhe na hÉireann.
