Copy of letter from J.J. Heuston in Kilmainham Prison to Mr. Walsh sent prior to his execution,

In this letter Heuston thanks Mr. Walsh and all his railway friends. He apologises for any offence caused but says "whatever I have done, I have done as a soldier of Ireland". He lastly asks for his salary and superannuation fund to be given to his mother.
