Description:Edward O'Connor recounts his memories of the 1916 Easter Rising and his enlistment in the Irish Volunteers in 1917. As a postman in Carrickmore, Co. Tyrone, he passed communications to various members of the Irish Volunteers undetected by British forces. He describes numerous attacks on British soldiers and the political situation in Ireland 1914-1921.
