Description:Letter from Padraig Pearse to Joseph McGarrity relating news about McGarrity's brother [Reverend Peter J. McGarrity?] and his recovery from an accident and subsequent planned voyage back to the United States onboard the R.M.S. Lusitania.
Pearse thanks McGarrity for his generosity in raising funds to enable the reopening of St. Enda's school, and laments that there are fewer students enrolled due to their parents' wariness of Pearse's political activities.
Pearse reassures McGarrity that "we will have pulled the Volunteers straight", and that although they may appear quiet, the Volunteers are waiting for the favourable moment for action which is most likely to be a recruiting visit by H.H. Asquith and John Redmond.
