Description:Letter from Padraig Pearse to Joseph McGarrity thanking McGarrity for his work in raising funds in Philadelphia for the Irish Volunteers, and the appeal placed by McGarrity in the 'Gaelic American'. Pearse discusses John Remond's nominees and the Provisional Committee, and his own voting against surrender. Pearse also discusses recruitment for the Irish Volunteers and the need for more arms.
