The bulk of material regards the day to day management of and costs associated with maintaining the Stradbally and Cuffsboro estates, including Dunrally Fort, Moyanna, Vicarstown, Leighlin and other places in Queen's County. The receipts and bills of the estates include bank slips, poor rates (local tax), salaries issued, interests paid, assurances, subscriptions, church dues, inland revenue, rents paid (to Lord Powerscourt), labourers' bills, quit rent (land tax), tithe (Church tax) and other various taxes and expenses. Also includes material regarding the properties of Henry Grattan senior before he bought the Queen's County estates and material regarding the building of Tinnehinch and some regarding Cookstown, Newtown, Kilcroney and Enniskerry in Co. Wicklow. These should be consulted with the accounts and rentals. Also contains some related correspondence and tenants list.
