Collection of items relating to Yeats' play Deirdre,

1907-1911.

The collection consists of: a copy of the first edition of Deirdre (Maunsel, 1907), heavily revised in ink by the publisher, A.H. Bullen, for a new edition; three handwritten pages headed "To Follow Persons and Players. Note on the Scene", also in Bullen's hand, but with a note at the end by Yeats; eight mimeographed pages entitled "Alterations in 'Deirdre'"; printed four-page leaflet entitled "Alterations in Deirdre", which was inserted in published copies of the play; a copy of this four-page leaflet inlaid into a folio sheet, for the purpose of revision, with extensive ink revisions in Bullen's hand; a copy of Bullen's edition of Deirdre, published in 1911.
