The O'Rahilly (Michael Joseph O'Rahilly)was shot as he attempted to lead a small group of Irish Volunteers from the GPO to Williams and Woods, a factory on Great Britain Street (now Parnell Street)during the Easter Rising, 1916. O'Rahilly was left to die of his wounds on Sackville Lane not Moore Lane as depicted on the postcard.
