Griffith's letter, dated 24 November 1916, was written to his wife on their wedding anniversary. He refers in passing to his fellow prisoner Sean Milroy having drawn a picture for Griffith's children Nevin and Ita. The letter is stamped 'Place of Internment Reading'.
