Notes:Charlotte Sherwood Hamilton was the eldest daughter of John Travers Lewis, Archbishop of Ontario, and Ada Travers Lewis (née Sherwood). In 1875 she was married to Robert Craigie Hamilton, of Hawkesbury, Ontario. Following their marriage the couple lived in Montreal. Her fourth daughter Violet Hamilton, born in 1882 in London, married her cousin Gerard 'Charlie' Hamilton of Hamwood, Co. Meath in 1911.
