Eamon Bulfin, son of William Bulfin (1864-1910), was a past pupil of St. Enda's School and participated in the Easter Rising 1916. He raised one of the Irish flags over the GPO during the Rising. He was sent to Frongoch Prison in Wales and then deported to Argentina.
