Included is an annotated photocopied typescript draft of the translation with a note from Carpenter to Heaney, a postcard from Carpenter to Heaney dated 12 March 1979, a letter from Heaney (dated 30 October 1978; recipient unclear) concerning tranlsations of Dante's poem, and a marked up galley proof of the text.
