Letter from St. John Rowlandson, St. James' Place, London, England, to John Redmond, concering his offer of funding for the Irish Party. Annotation in Redmond's hand reads "Rowlandson was prepared to pay me for the Irish Party a very large sum of money (£20,000) if I would get a title for an unnamed friend of his. I laughed at the idea and sent him away".
