Police notice no. 14, Dublin. April 12th, 1854. Stolen, between the hours of 5 and 6 pm, 11th instant, from the parlour of the Rev. Mr. Shaw, of Sidney [sic, Sydney] Parade the following articles of plate, his property;
Two silver gravy spoons, initialled with the letters "W.P.M." [,] Two silver table ditto, crested "a Lion coming out of his den" [,] Ten silver dessert ditto, initialled "W.P.M." [,] Six silver tea ditto, old fashioned, not crested or initialled. Three silver tea ditto, initialled "M.H.P." [,] Four silver salt ditto, not known whether initialled or crested. One silver tea soup ladle, old fashioned, large size, not known whether it was crested or not. One butter knife. One pickle fork. And five egg spoons. Three of the silver egg spoons gilt bowls and the word "Salem" marked on them. Pawnbrokers, jewellers, and otherwise particularly cautioned to detain the above, or any person or persons who may offer same for Sale or Pawn, and give immediate Notice to Mr. Felix O'Neill, Superintendent of the G Division, 3 Exchange Court or should the property be pawned or sold prior to the delivery of this Notice, to Stop - the Pawnbroker or other person is to communicate to the Constable serving the Notice. No Police Notice issued except from this Office.
