Theatre-Royal, Edinburgh. First night of the engagement of the celebrated Mr. Tyrone Power who is engaged for twelve nights only, it being his first appearance here these three years. :
This present evening, Monday, February 22, 1836, will be performed, for the first time these two years, the admired comedy, in Two Acts, entitled 'The Irish Ambassador'. The Grand Duke of Bavaria by Mr. J. Power, Prince Rudolph, his nephew, by Mr. Faucit....after which will be performed the popular comedietta called 'The Lancers'....after which, for the first time these two years, the farce of 'Teddy, the Tiler'....To-morrow, the drama of 'Born To Good Luck' - 'The Irish Tutor' - and 'Roland'. Paddy O'Rafferty and Dr. O'Toole by Mr. Tyrone Power, the evening's entertainment being by desire, and under the especial patronage of the Right Honourable Lord Viscount Fincastle, Grand Master-Mason, the most noble the Marquis of Douglas and Clydesdale, Post Grand Master. The Right Honourable Lord Ramsay, depute Grand Master. Sir John Hay, Bart. M.P. Substitute Grand Master. Sir Thomas Dick Lauder, Bart. and W.F. Mackenzie, Esq. of Portmore, Grand Wardens, and the other office-bearers and members of the Grand Lodge of Scotland.
