Walsh of Massachusetts on the League of Nations; speech by Mohamed Mahmoud Pasha of the Egyptian delegation at a banquet given in honour of the members of the Anglo-American Press in Paris, regarding the 1919 Egyptian Revolution and stating that the ‘movement was neither religious nor anti-foreign nor instigated by Germany or Turkey. It was directed wholly against a system of government which was not in the interests of the Egyptian people’; and ‘Resolution of the joint congress of the National Parties in South Africa’ held in Bloemfontein, at which it nominated its delegates to the British government and the Peace Conference. |
