Summary:Used tram ticket, printed on yellow and white striped card, the fare costing 3 shillings and 6 pence for a journey on the Blessington and Poulaphouca Steam Tramway, travelling from the stop at from Poulaphouca to the stop at Terenure. The number "0142" is printed on it in two places. Terms and conditions of passage are printed on verso - "Available only by trains Specially advertised by Company. Available for return on day of issue only". The Dublin and Blessington Steam Tramway [DBST], later known as the Blessington and Poulaphouca Steam Tramway, operated steam-powered trams between Terenure in Dublin and Blessington in Co. Wicklow from 1888 until 1932; an extension of the line to Poulaphouca was opened in 1895 and the Blessington and Poulaphouca Steam Tramway was incorporated, with through-running from Terenure from 1896 until this extension was closed in 1927.
