| Summary: | Programme issued by the theatrical company Compántas ["compántas" means the troupe or theatrical company when translated from Irish] printed by O'Mahony Printers, Dublin in black ink on light blue coloured paper, featuring an illustration on the cover of the programme of the masks of comedy and tragedy [symbols of the ancient Greek Muses, Thalia and Melpomene] superimposed over an illustration of a harp and an illustrated theatre curtain featuring small shamrock patterns. Centrefold (pages [2] and [3]) detail the fourteen scenes to be performed on stage in the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin, every night at 7.45 p.m. from 12 to 17 April 1948. |
