Summary: | Undated colour postcard, illustrated by the artist Pat MacCormack, featuring an illustration of a young woman, carring a wicker basket under her arm, was has stopped to converse with a man behind a stone wall, who is smoking a pipe and leaning on a spade. A small cottage is depicted in the left background while in the right middle distance is an expanse of water (either a river or the sea). The Scholastic Production Company Ltd., Belfast was based in Belfast from the late 1930s to 1955, when it was wound up - see 'The Belfast Gazette', 16 December 1955 where which under The Companies Act (Northern Ireland) 1932, it was listed amongst those companies "...struck off the Register and the Companies are hereby dissolved". |
