Summary: | Programme featuring an illustration of a composer [or performer?], apparently on a stage; he is depicted wearing a cape trimmed with ermine that has a pattern of piano keys on it; the cape is worn over a uniform that has rows of ornamental braiding on the chest. He holds either a bow or a baton in his right hand, while a violin lies on the floor next to him. The coat of arms of Belvedere College is depicted top right on recto, the artists' initials 'PVK' at bottom right of illustration. Inside programme the officers and committee of Old Belvedere Musical & Dramatic Society for the year 1942-1943 are detailed. The producder was Lionel A. Cranfield while the Hon. Musical Director was Captain Michael Bowles. "A Waltz Dream" was adapted for the English stage by Basil Hood from the German of Felix Dormann and Leopold Jacobson. |
