Summary: | Originally published in connection with the Belfast Festival held November 12-27, 1965 at Queen's University and organized by Michael Emmerson. From the Festival, Emmerson published a series of individual poetry pamphlets as part of the new "Festival publications" series. These pamphlets were distributed and sold in Belfast, Dublin, London and university towns across Britain were the poets' first "collections." In this publication, Heaney's poem "Personal helicon for Michael Longley" suggests his later work "Death of a naturalist." |
