This print lettered with title "Quadrilles - Practising for fear of Accidents!" and publication line "Pub'd by McCleary, No. 32, Nassau Street". Cropped within plate mark. Two sets of four dance, with the ladies and their partners standing alternately. At left, standing against a window, one of the male dancers wipes perspiration from his face with a handkerchief, (comically it appears to cover his entire face) while at right of the scene, a violinist says (within a speech bubble) 'La Trénis'. [La Trénis is the fourth part or figure of the quadrille, of which there are generally five parts].
