This print lettered with title "Quadrilles - Practising at home" with publication line "Pub'd by McCleary, No. 32, Nassau Street". Cropped within plate mark. Print depicts a scene in a room with four couples dancing quadrilles to the music supplied by a violinist, standing in the left background, who says (in a speech bubble) 'La Poule'. [La Poule ("The Hen") is the third part or figure of the quadrille, of which there are generally five parts].
