Summary: | After a print by Charles Williams, published 20 March 20, 1823 by S.W. [Samuel William] Fores, 41 Piccadilly, corner of Sackville St., London - see BM Satires 14632 and companion plate BM Satires 14631. This print is lettered with title 'A Caledonian Beauty' and publication line "Pub. by McCleary, 32 Nassau St". A Scottish woman with auburn coloured hair walks on a rural mountain road with mountains and fir trees depicted in the left background of the scene. She wears a feathered cap, a very décolletée revealing bodice, a tartan kilt from which hangs a fringed square of fur, representing a sporran. She holds up her kilt with a graceful gesture above bare legs, tartan socks and black flat pumps. She wears long yellow coloured gloves and holds a green parasol on a hinged stick.
