Summary:After George Cruickshanks' 'A Nice Lady or an Incomparable!!!!', published on 20 October, 1818 by S.W. Fores, 50 Piccadilly', see BM Satires 13057. Lettered with title underneath image, "A Nice Lady or An Incomparable!!” with publication line printed within image: "Publish'd by McCleary 32 Nassau Street Dublin”. An ungainly woman, looking and walking to the right with a stoop (fashionable in ca. 1816) and with splayed-out feet, has features and wears a dress are inscribed disparaging inscriptions and the names of food in which fish predominate - her skirt is covered with a 'Fishing Net' which forms a transparent hem; her high bonnet is a 'Scollop Shell'; her cloak 'Pudding Cloth'; her mouth 'Tulips'; her teeth 'Pearl Oyster, or Sweet Meat'; her eyes 'Sloes'; her eyebrows 'Candy'd Lemon Fruit'; her arms ‘Parsnips’; her hand, in which she affectedly holds an eyeglass - 'Fish Hooks or Crabs Claws'. In the shrubbery behind her is a notice that reads: 'Beware of Men Traps'.
