The film is an adaptation of James Joyce's 'Ulysses' which takes place on 16 June 1904; it attempts to make a visual reconstruction of Joyce's stream of consciousness style with actor Stephen Rea in the role of Leopold Bloom. The poster features an image of a man in Edwardian clothes and holding a walking stick, strolling along the beech towards the Martello tower in Sandycove where the opening scenes of his novel 'Ulysses' take place.
