Celia's Salkeld, was the sister of Beatrice Behan, [the widow of Brendan Behan, who died on March 20 1964, just a few months before this production]. Printed in bright red font at bottom of sheet "The Hostage has been translated into many foreign languages and played in France, Israel, Sweden, Yugoslavia, Italy, Denmark, South Africa, England, Germany, The Low Countries, Norway, Canada, Iceland, and the United States".
