|Main Creator:||Sluis, Pieter artist.|
Colour poster designed by Pieter [also known as Piet] Sluis (1929-2008) for Tara Mines Limited [Europe's largest zinc mine in Navan, Co. Meath] and dated (printed lower right of sheet) 1979 featuring a partial map of Ireland, focusing on the western seaboard and at left of sheet illustrations of a star fish, a sea urchin, a sea anemone, sea grass and a sea snail amongst others. Text printed in black font at right of sheet reads: "Ireland's west is widely acclaimed for its beautiful / and unspoiled countryside. Beyond it, and below / the tide, there is a world which is equally spellbinding. / A profusion of colourful plants and animals flourishes in / conditions which are remarkably clean and unspoiled. / The abundance of marine life reflects the / influence of oceanic currents which meet and mingle over the continental shelf / of the west coast of Ireland".
