Theatre Royal, Covent Garden this present Thursday, October 22, 1829, will be performed, for the 6th time, a new comedy, in two acts, (with Music) called 'The First of May; or, A Royal Love Match': ...after which will be produced, with entirely new scenery, (never acted) a new drama in 2 acts, to be called 'The Robber's Wife' ...the scenery painted by Messrs. Grieve, T. and W. Grieve, Finley, &c...to conclude with (2d time this season) the musical farce of 'The Waterman' the overture consisting of extracts from Dibdin's Songs arragned by Mr. Parry...in consequence of the undiminished attraction of Shakspeare's [sic, Shakespeare's] tragedy of 'Romeo and Juliet', the public is respecfully informed that it will be acted to-morrow, and on Monday, Wednesday and Friday in the ensuing week. The part of Juliet by Miss Fanny Kemble....The New comedy called 'The First of May; or A Royal Love Match' will be repeated to-night, Saturday and Tuesday next.
