In Collection: Mary Hutton Papers, 1884-1942.
Description: Hull seeks to interest Mrs. Hutton in publicising the work of the international committee which was trying to re-create the university library of Louvain, recently destroyed by the Germans. She mentions a pamphlet of her own, entitled 'Irish scholarship at Louvain', and thinks that the long Irish connection with Louvain might interest Irish people in supporting the effort. She also asks Mrs. Hutton to give her opinion on a work she has in progress, and goes on to discuss the importance of viewing Irish history always in the European context.
