[Postcard] Forcible feeding. Dr. Sinn Féin - "But you know Mr. Bull, you recommended it yourself!"
Colour postcard [with the signature 'G.B.' printed lower right within image], featuring an illustration of John Bull [England], who is restrained by ropes across his chest and arms in a chair; in front of him is a bowl that has the following words written across it: "The right of small nations to govern themselves". Alongside this is depicted a funnel and rubber tube and the words "Forcible feeding". [Force-feeding was used against those who were hunger-striking]. A man [Dr. Sinn Féin] wearing glasses, a suit and tie, with a tricolour badge [the colours of an Irish flag] pinned to his label, puts a hand John Bull's shoulder saying, "But you know Mr. Bull, you recommended it yourself!"
