Summary:Souvenir programme relating to the Home Rule Demonstration which took place in Dublin city on Sunday, 31 March, 1912. An image of John Redmond (by photographer and artist E.H. [Ernest Herbert] Mills) features on the cover of the programme with the words "We want Home Rule" printed above his image. At left of image is an advertisement for J.J. O'Neill's [pub], 29 Essex St., Dublin - "Famous Malt and Creamy Pint" and at right of image of Redmond is an advertisement for the "Celebrated Ship Hotel, 5 Lower Abbey St., J.J. Davin Proprietor - "For Drinks and Luncheons". Page 3 details the order of the procession and general arrangements while p. 4 details the speakers on various platforms - at the Parnell Monument, Platform No.1 - "The Right Hon. the Lord Mayor will preside". Speakers - Mr. John Redmond, M.P.: Mr. John O'Callaghan, Secretary of the U.I.L. of America; and Mr. P.J. Brady, M.P."; at the Father Mathew Monument, Platform No.2 “The Right Worshipful the Mayor of Limerick will preside. Speakers - Mr. John Dillon, Mr. Wm. Redmond and Mr. J.P. Nannetti, M.P.’s; Jos. Hutchinson, Gen. Sec. I.N.F. Resolution proposed by Mr. John Bolger, J.P., Chairman of the Wexford County Council, seconded by Mr. Michael Short, Chairman Armagh Urban Council”.
