Hewitt mentions his trip to Slane to see where Francis Ledwidge was born and James Stephens's opinion of Ledwidge. He also refers to his own 'Collected Poems' and an upcoming anthology of Northern Irish poetry edited by Padriac Fiacc.
The letter is written on headed paper of '11 Stockman's Lane, Belfast', Hewitt's final address.
Timothy O'Keeffe was a publisher and editor, who was working for MacGibbon & Kee at the time they published Hewitt's 'Collected Poems' in 1968.
