Summary:Playbill on placard, printed [by Corrigan & Wilson, Ltd., 13 Sackville Place, Dublin] in bold, black ink on white card. Stamped on verso: "Rex Roberts Limited / Wilton House, / Appian Way, / Dublin". After the original Abbey Theatre [designed by architect Joseph Holloway] was destroyed in a fire in 1951, the Queen’s Royal Theatre, Pearse St., Dublin [reconstructed and enlarged in 1909 by architect Robert John Stirling, (1841-1915) for the lessee, Frederick Wentworth Marriott Watson (the building being leased from Trinity College)] was used by the Abbey Players and for Abbey Theatre productions until 1966. (The Queen’s Theatre closed in 1969 and was demolished in 1975).
