Summary:Programme with accompanying lyrics for a grand concert performance by Madame Adelina Patti [with vocalists Madame Belle Cole, Mr. Hirwen Jones and Mr. Douglas Powell] in Leinster Hall, Dublin on Saturday 2 November, 1895. The concert director was Percy Harrison from Birmingham and the accompanist was Mr. Wilhelm Ganz (1833 - 1914). Decorative cover of programme features an illustration of a shield concerning the details of the performance, surrounded by putti [cherubs] blowing horns and playing cymbals and one cherub strikes a triangle. Back cover of programme features an advertisement for Pigott & Co., Music Sellers & Pianoforte Dealers, 112 Grafton Street, 19 Suffolk St. and 11 Suffolk St., Dublin [the firm later became known as McCullough Pigott]. The programme is in two parts and includes music by Mendelssohn, Mozart, Liszt, Schubert and Verdi amongst others. Programme features pencil illustrations of the heads of men, over several pages by Joseph Holloway. Leinster Hall was a concert hall located in Hawkins Street, Dublin which opened in November 1886. It was built on the site of the second Theatre Royal, [after the first was destroyed by fire in 1880]. The hall closed in 1895 and was redesigned and reopened as the third Theatre Royal in 1897.
