Description: O'Brien writes from Vienna, addressing his letter to 'Leonard' (no surname given). He gives details of his recent extensive travels and says he has not seen an Irish newspaper in months. He wishes to know if his writings on the Italian situation have produced any effect on Irish public opinion. He gives his next address as 'Poste Restante, Berlin'. The letter is marked 'Private'.
