Trench's six letters, written from Settignano, Florence and later La Touquet-Paris-Plage during May and June 1923, refer to meeting with the 'wild Irish poet' Austin Clarke, other social engagements and his declining health. Writing on 1 June, he outlines a number of requests he would like Cayley-Webster to fulfill in the event of his death. With some attached envelopes.
