Notes:Records dealing primarily with lands in counties Mayo and Roscommon which had been purchased or retrenched by the French family and were adjudged to belong to the Dillon family by the Commission at Athlone in 1656. Much of the material relates to the French and Dillon families' competing claims after the Restoration and the Act of Settlement, with Theobald Dillon restored to his estates and Patrick French 'and others of the transplanted Irish' reprised elsewhere. Includes papers from the Commission for Adjudications on the Claims and Qualifications of the Irish, as well as copies of the Gross and Strafford Surveys.
