These designs, featuring engaged Ionic columns, fluted friezes, plaster archivolts and Adamesque fanlights, are typical of Dublin townhouses built in the last decades of the eighteenth-century". Constatine Curran (1880-1972) acquired the Stapleton drawings for the Friends of the National Collections who donated them to the NLI in 1940.
