Notes: | Records dealing with the lands formerly belonging to the O’Connor Sligo, following the Restoration of Charles II. The title to the lands was disputed at various times by Patrick and Dominick French, Thomas, Earl of Strafford, Sir Philip Percival, Sir George Radcliffe, Sir Francis Gore and others. Among these others were Dorothy Jordan (neé O'Connor) and her son Thomas, heirs general of Donagh O'Connor Sligo, as well as Teige O'Connor, heir in tail. Also included is a deposition of Sarah O'Connor (neé MacDonnell), wife of Donagh O'Connor Sligo's nephew, also Donagh O'Connor of Sligo. Physical description: 18 folders. more |
