Description: Much of the material in the collection is related to the incident on 20th March 1920, in which O'Grady's house, at Norwood, Rochestown, Cork, was raided and partly ransacked by the military; jewellery and money stolen; and O'Grady himself arrested and imprisoned for several days. Copies of letters to the Lord Chancellor and the Chief Secretary for Ireland are included as well as the replies received; also a letter from Erskine Childers. There are letters from Alice O'Grady to her husband in Cork Jail, and an affidavit about these and associated events sworn by her in 1955.
