Notes:Contains personal correspondence of the French family, as well as associated papers. A significant amount of material can be attributed to John French of High Lake and Carrowduff in County Roscommon, who was a grandson of John French ('Tierna More'), and which concerns his financial difficulties in London. Other notable items include letters from Arthur Reginald (Reggie) French, 5th Baron De Freyne, to his father Arthur, the 4th Baron, describing his experiences in the Philippines while serving in the United States Army; material pertaining to Reggie's ill-received marriage to Anabelle Angus; and a letter to Marie Georgiana, Lady De Freyne, concerning the whereabouts of her son Lieu. Edward Fulke French during the First World War.
