Summary:Placard [with original string at top from which to hang it] advertising the Cumannn na nGaedheal 'Samhain' to be held in the Antient Concert Rooms, [then No 52 Great Brunswick Street now Pearse Street], commencing Sunday, 26 October and continuing until Sunday, November 2, 1902. Text continues: "Monday, October 27th, Concert at 8 o'clock. Tuesday, October 28th to Saturday, November 1st, the following plays will be produced for Cumannn na nGaedheal by the Irish National Dramatic Co. : "Deirdre", "Kathleen Ní Houlihan", "The Pot of Broth", "Connla", "The Racing Lug", "The Laying of the Foundations", and "Elis agus an Bhean Deirce". The artistes will include: Miss Maud Gonne, in the Title Role of "Kathleen Ni Houlihan". See "The United Irishman" and posters for further particulars. Prices of Admission: 2s., 1s., & 6d. Season Ticket, 10s. Tickets to be had at the Office of "The United Irishman", 17 Fownes St., or Cumann na N-Gaedheal, 196 Gt. Brunswick St., Dublin". At bottom of placard: "O'Loughlin, Shields, & Boland, 111 & 112 Upper Dorset Street". It was at the 1902 Cumann na n-Gaedheal Convention that Arthur Griffith first put forward his proposal for the abstention of Irish members of parliament from the parliament of Westminster.
