Journal entries, dated 21 July to 4 August 1841, provide an account of a visit to Dublin and north Co. Wicklow by Robert and Eliza Tidswell. He refers to visiting the Custom House, Stephen's Green and Fitzwilliam Square in Dublin, attending Sunday services in St. George's Church, and travelling to Bray, the Powerscourt Estate, Roundwood, Glendalough and the Devil's Glen in Co. Wicklow. Attached are loose bills from various hotels and inns visited by the Tidswells in Manchester, Chester, Liverpool, Bangor, St. Asaph, Dublin and Bray.
Tidswell's journal has been written on loose leaves which have been stitched together.
