MS 42,445/2 contains an inscription which reads 'This rough Manuscript which need not be read is presented by the author to Kit Stuard as a Keepsake and memorial ... In memory of Washington May 1951'. The dedication page also includes a black and white photograph of Leslie pasted in. The volume contains the short stories 'Sport Royal', 'The Aghavanna Railway', 'The Rivalry of the Churches', 'Aunt Laetitia's Funeral' and 'The Prize for Turnips'.
