Summary: | Calendar card for July 1914, issued by the Scottish Widows Life Assurance Society featuring an illustration on recto by Walter Crane in the Arts and Crafts style. A young couple are depicted within a forest setting - the man is seated on the ground, holding an oar with his left hand; he turns to his right, conversing with the young woman who is seated in a hammock - she holds a book in her left hand and a large fan in her right hand. Two mermaids hold an escutcheon with the word "July" printed on it while at top a griffin [?] is depcited with a putto.
