The Protestant Cemetery of Rome, officially known as Cimitero acattolico [the non-Catholic cemetery] and informally as Cimitero degli Inglesi [the Cemetery of Englishmen] is located behind the pyramid of praetor Caius Cestius Epulonius, in the Roman rione [district] of Testaccio, where the Aurelian Walls border the cemetry. Poets John Keats and Percy Bysshe Shelley are buried there. |
