Description: Black and white photomechanical print featuring Irish language scholar, writer and poet Monsignor Pádraig de Brún (1889-1960) that was reproduced in a 1953 calendar entitled 'Dáréag Scríbhneoirí Gaeilge' 1953, issued by Sáirséal agus Dill. Head and shoulders, facing slightly to right, with facsimile copy of his signature present at lower left of sheet. Pasted on verso is a slip of paper with a heading "Monsignor Pádraig de Brún" and the title of four publications by him, the last of which was a forthcoming [1953] translation of Homer's 'Odyssey'. Sáirséal agus Dill was founded in 1945 by Seán Sairséal Ó hÉigeartaigh [son of P.S. O'Hegarty] and his wife Bríd Ní Mhaoileoin.
