Summary:Black and white photomechanical print featuring writer, playwright [and Secretary of the Department of Posts and Telegraphs from 1948 to 1967], León Ó Broin, (1902-1990), that was reproduced in a 1953 calendar entitled 'Dáréag Scríbhneoirí Gaeilge' 1953, issued by Sáirséal agus Dill. Head and shoulders, facing to front, with facsimile copy of his signature present at lower left of sheet. Pasted on verso is his name and the titles of seven Irish language publications by him, the last concerning historian R.R. Madden was a forthcoming publication in 1953. Sáirséal agus Dill was founded in 1945 by Seán Sairséal Ó hÉigeartaigh [son of P.S. O'Hegarty] and his wife Bríd Ní Mhaoileoin.
