Summary:Black and white photomechanical print featuring politician, writer, journalist and managing director of the Abbey Theatre, Earnán De Blaghd [Earnest Blythe], that was reproduced in a 1953 calendar entitled 'Dáréag Scríbhneoirí Gaeilge' 1953, issued by Sáirséal agus Dill. Head and shoulders, facing to front, with facsimile copy of his signature 'Earnán De Blaghd' present at lower left of sheet. Pasted on verso is his name and the titles of three Irish language publications by Blythe, two of which at that time were forthcoming publications. Sáirséal agus Dill was founded in 1945 by Seán Sairséal Ó hÉigeartaigh [son of P.S. O'Hegarty] and his wife Bríd Ní Mhaoileoin.
